Reproduction of an early sampler, whose origin is most likely English. The original is held by Gigi in her private collection.
It was stitched by Ann Harding at the begining of the 19th century. The original sampler was worked on fine wool with wool threads and a little bit of silk.
Most of this sampler is worked in cross stitch over two threads. Other stitches used are; cross stitch over one thread, chain stitch, counted and free hand satin, a little bit of stem stitch and a few Algerian eyes.
